Start with the review link from your Business Profile

Google Business Profile provides a link that businesses can share to request reviews. Copy that link from the profile you manage and test it while signed out. QRtracer turns the URL into a code; Google presents the review experience, checks the user's account, and publishes or moderates the contribution. Make sure the link opens the intended location when a business has several profiles. QRtracer cannot submit, edit, remove, filter, or guarantee a Google review.

Ask for an honest review without steering the result

  1. Create the code from the correct review link and choose tracking if you want placement-level scan data.
  2. Label the code for its location, such as Receipt footer — Utrecht shop.
  3. Use neutral copy such as Tell us about your experience beside the code.
  4. Show the same request to customers regardless of whether staff expect positive or negative feedback.
  5. Test the final print and confirm the business location before distribution.

Do not offer discounts, gifts, or other incentives in exchange for reviews. Do not use a screening question to send only satisfied customers to Google.

Compare scans with reviews carefully

A scan records an open of the review link. It does not mean the customer signed in, selected a rating, wrote a review, or had the contribution published. Compare QRtracer scan activity with the review activity visible in the relevant Business Profile over the same period. Differences are normal because customers can leave, abandon, delay, edit, or have a contribution moderated. Separate codes for receipts and counter signs can compare opens by placement without identifying individual reviewers.

Update the review link after printing

A dynamic code lets you correct or replace the review URL if the business profile or location changes. Free accounts include up to 3 dynamic codes and 14 days of Analytics and QR Studio access. Paid plans provide ongoing access, SVG export for clean printed signs, and CSV export for scan analysis. The redirect and scan recording continue after the Free access period, but Google remains responsible for the review destination and review policy. Recheck every permanent sign after profile changes.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I get the Google review link?
Use the review-link option in the Google Business Profile you manage. Copy the link for the correct location and test it while signed out before creating printed materials.
Can I offer a discount for leaving a review?
Google prohibits incentives for reviews. Ask customers neutrally and show the same invitation regardless of the feedback you expect, without filtering unhappy customers away from Google.
Will QRtracer tell me who left a review?
No. QRtracer records scan activity for the link. Google controls reviewer accounts, submitted content, publication, and moderation on the Business Profile.
