QR Code for Guest WiFi Instructions

A QR code can open a mobile-friendly page with your guest network name, joining instructions, or captive portal. QRtracer's generator accepts a URL. It does not currently create the special WIFI: payload used by direct-join WiFi QR codes.

Place a tested code where guests need it: near reception, on an in-room card, or beside a café counter. The linked page can include network instructions and support details. Avoid publishing confidential credentials on a public page; use a guest network or captive portal appropriate for your setup.

The code created here contains the URL you enter. Do not paste a WiFi password into the URL field. A standard WiFi QR payload is encoded data, not encryption, and anyone who can scan such a code may be able to read the credentials with suitable software.

Place the printed code in a well-lit, easy-to-reach area. Use strong contrast, retain the blank quiet zone around the code, and test at the final print size from the expected viewing distance. Also confirm that the linked instructions load before a guest has joined the network.

With a dynamic QR code, you can change the destination URL in the dashboard while keeping the printed sign. You can also keep the same destination and update the instructions page itself. QRtracer does not manage network credentials, router settings, or guest access policies.
