Put a clear path to the public manual, setup steps, or safety information on the product and its packaging.
Link to the page or PDF that matches the exact model, region, language, and revision printed near the code. Open it on a phone while signed out and confirm that the first screen identifies the product. Avoid a private support portal, an expiring file link, or a generic search page that makes the customer guess which instructions apply. QRtracer provides the QR redirect and optional scan reporting; it does not host manuals, safety notices, translations, or warranty terms.
Name the code with the product and packaging run. A dynamic code can point to a current public manual while the printed pattern stays the same. Keep the old revision available when customers may still own it, or route it to a version selector that clearly explains the difference. Do not silently replace safety instructions with a newer model's page. Review the destination whenever a product revision, language, compliance notice, or support process changes.
Scan the final printed proof after trimming, folding, lamination, and sealing. Check that the code is not hidden under a flap or interrupted by a seam. Test from the angle a customer can use while holding the product, and verify the manual loads on a phone with ordinary mobile connectivity. Keep the quiet zone and a plain area around the code. If the destination is a PDF, check that it opens or downloads in the target mobile browsers.
Free currently includes up to 3 dynamic codes and 14 days of Analytics and QR Studio. Pro is €5.99 per month with full analytics access plus SVG and CSV export. A scan means that the QRtracer redirect opened; it does not prove a purchase, booking, subscription, or identified person. Scan activity can show that a printed placement led to the manual URL, but it does not prove that the customer read the instructions, assembled the product, or avoided a support request. Use your documentation system for manual views and revisions, and your support system for tickets and outcomes. Keep the public fallback page live when a model is discontinued.
Transform static product packaging into interactive customer touchpoints. Direct retail buyers to video instructions, ingredient transparency, warranty registration, and repeat reorders.
Give customers a direct path to the help article, troubleshooting flow, or public support form that fits the product or service in front of them.
Work through the code, the camera conditions, and the destination separately so you can fix the real problem before reprinting.
