Choose the correct public booking path

Link to the public appointment page that matches the service, staff member, location, and calendar you want people to use. Confirm whether the page asks the visitor to select a time, a location, or a service before displaying availability. Open it on a phone while signed out and check the time zone, cancellation wording, contact details, and confirmation path. QRtracer does not provide the calendar, hold slots, send reminders, or store the booking record.

Give each placement a clear job

Use separate code names for a reception desk, storefront, event card, or printed receipt when you need to compare where scans originate. Put the service name and a short instruction beside the pattern so the visitor knows what will happen. For a location with several services, a public booking hub can be clearer than a deep link that becomes obsolete. Keep the link short in the visible copy even though the QR pattern can encode the full URL.

Handle unavailable calendars and changes

Review the destination whenever staff, service names, opening hours, or booking software changes. A dynamic code can be pointed at a replacement public booking page without changing the printed pattern. If no appointment is available, the destination should explain the next action, such as joining a waitlist or requesting a callback. Test both a currently available slot and the no-availability state so a visitor does not reach a blank calendar or an internal error page.

Compare scans with completed bookings

Free currently includes up to 3 dynamic codes and 14 days of Analytics and QR Studio. Pro is €5.99 per month with full analytics access plus SVG and CSV export. A scan means that the QRtracer redirect opened; it does not prove a purchase, booking, subscription, or identified person. A scan is an open of the redirect. It does not prove that someone selected a service, entered contact information, confirmed a slot, attended, or became a paying customer. Compare scan activity with the booking platform over the same period and keep the definitions separate. Do not put a person's private booking details in the QR content.

Frequently asked questions

Can an appointment QR code open a private calendar?
Use a public booking page that a visitor can open without staff credentials. A QR code does not bypass access controls or make a private scheduling link suitable for customers.
Can I change the service after printing?
Yes, if you saved a dynamic code. Update it to the new public service or booking page and verify the location, availability, time zone, and confirmation flow on a phone.
Do scans equal booked appointments?
No. A scan shows that the booking page opened. The scheduling platform must confirm selections, contact details, confirmed slots, attendance, and any later payment.
